Please pray for the repose of the soul of Fr David Rowan SJ, of the Southern Africa Province, who died on Monday 12th July in Nazareth House in Johannesburg. He was 68 years old, in the 50th year of religious life. He had been suffering from cancer for some time.
David had been parish priest at Holy Trinity, Braamfontein, chaplain to the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), rector of the St Francis Xavier seminary in Cape Town, and was the last Regional Superior of the South African Region. He joined the novitiate at Loyola Hall in 1971, and studied at Heythrop in Cavendish Square.
May David rest in peace. He was a wonderful facilitator with a delightful sense of humor. Tomas O’Connor SPS
